Julia Hays, 25, is a reporter and member of the new media staff for the Courier-Post in Cherry Hill, NJ. The Courier-Post is a Gannett publication.

Julia is a 2009 graduate of Rowan University, with a degree in Journalism, with a minor in Spanish, and a concentration in International Studies. During her college career, Julia was a member and officer of Rowan’s chapter of Circle K International and a DJ for the university’s radio station, Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM. She was also a columnist and staff writer for the student publication, The Whit, and spent a year making appearances as the university’s mascot.

A native of Pitman, NJ, Julia was an involved student who graduated from Pitman High School in June 2005. From August 2005 through June 2006, she lived in Argentina as a Rotary International-sponsored exchange student. She began her college education at Rowan University in the fall of 2006 and graduated with her undergraduate degree in May 2009.

In her free time, Julia enjoys writing, learning to play guitar, exercising, listening to comedy podcasts, rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies, and participating in numerous organizations, including an outdoor adventure club, a competitive dragon boat team, and a book club.

She recently began volunteering her blogging services to Earwolf, a comedy podcasting network.
