Since my first listen to the Comedy Bang Bang podcast (formerly Comedy Death-Ray Radio) in the fall of 2010, I have been addicted to comedy podcasts.
I had been watching less television and was looking for another form of entertainment and was lucky to find that in Earwolf, a company that creates and produces original comedy programs, which often feature well-known comedians, actors, and musicians.
I now regularly follow more than half a dozen podcasts weekly, including the aforementioned Comedy Bang Bang, as well as Sklarboro Country, Who Charted?, Affirmation Nation with Bob Ducca, and others. All of which can be found on Earwolf.com, and are downloadable through iTunes.
The Wolf Den is Earwolf’s only non-comedy podcast. It’s a show dedicated to the business side of podcasting, and has featured guests like Paul F. Tompkins, Randy and Jason Sklar, Marc Maron, Jesse Thorn, Doug Benson, Nick Kroll, and Seth Morris.
Episode 24, “Who Are Our Superfans?”, dropped this morning, and I am both honored and humbled to have been asked to be a guest on the show. Earwolf CEO Jeff Ullrich spoke with two fellow fans, Dustin and Mike, and myself, to see what makes us consumers of comedy podcasts, what we would like to see from Earwolf in the future, and we discussed one of Earwolf’s new projects, The Earwolf Challenge.
I cannot express my appreciation enough to Jeff and the folks at Earwolf for the great work they do, and for reaching out to me for today’s episode. I hope listeners enjoy the show and can discern my admiration for the Earwolf team.
And, I have to admit, it’s super neat to see my photo on the front page of the Earwolf site today, as well as being added to the “Guests” page, where I’m only a hop, skip, and a jump away from such acting greats as Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis.
